General after care for piercings:

• Always ensure hands are cleaned when handling jewellery!
• Always keep area free from dirt & cosmetics!
• Always use fresh solution, preferably saline steripods or Savlon wound wash with each cleansing!
• Avoid moving the piercing except when cleansing!
• Always avoid touching or aggravating the piercing!

Daily piercing aftercare:

• Wash hands thoroughly using an anti-bacterial soap!
• Using a cotton bud & some saline, remove any crusty matter from the piercing!
• Clean the pierced area and rinse thoroughly with warm water!

Body piercings:

• 1 to 2 hours after piercing, remove the dressing and clean thoroughly with the aforementioned solution!
• Do not recover the piercing unless taking part in something which may catch, damage or otherwise be stressful to the area pierced!

Oral piercing aftercare:

• Rinse mouth thoroughly with anti-bacterial mouthwash twice daily & after eating, smoking or any other oral contact!
• Try to eat softer foods, such as pastas or soups!
• Avoid playing with the piercing as mcuh as possible!
• If you do not suffer from any asthmatic problems, you can take ibuprofen to help reduce the swelling!
• Tongue only : Return after 7 to 14 days to have the jewellery resized after the swelling has subsided!
• Lip only : Inside should be cleansed as above, and the outside should be cleansed as with the instructions with the body!
